Order Status Definitions

Order statuses in RetailReady provide real-time visibility into where an order is within the fulfillment lifecycle. Statuses differ slightly between Parcel and Freight workflows due to operational differences (carton vs pallet handling).

On Hold

Order has been manually placed on hold OR has an outstanding task preventing progress

Cancelled

Order has been manually cancelled and will not be fulfilled

Order has been manually cancelled and will not be fulfilled

Detailed Status Definitions

1. Not Started

  • Triggered immediately once an order is created in RetailReady

  • No warehouse activity has begun

  • Order is awaiting processing

2. Packing

  • Triggered when the order is actively being worked

  • Occurs when the order is selected in the Carton Packout module

  • Indicates packing has started but is not yet complete

3. Packed

  • Triggered once all items are fully packed

  • Confirms completion of carton-level packing activities

4. Staged (Freight Only)

  • Triggered when all pallets are:

    • Built

    • Staged in the Palletization module

    • Indicates order is physically ready for loading

5. Loaded (Freight Only)

  • Triggered when all pallets are loaded onto the shipment in the Ship Orders module

  • Confirms order has left staging and is loaded onto a truck

6. Done

  • Triggered when the ASN (Advanced Shipment Notice) is sent to the retailer

  • Triggered if no ASN is required and order is complete

  • Represents completion of the order lifecycle in RetailReady
